Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of Innovations and Technologies Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development attended the final stage of the GIST Regional Stage Training and awarding ceremony which was hosted by the Impact Hub Tbilisi in the conference hall of the factory.
There were revealed two winners. The first place took Elven Technologies, the winner of the Matching Grants Program of the Innovations Agency, which creates a high-tech, fireproof costume for firefighters. The owner of the second place is ThermoNorth, the startup offers a energy-saving liquid that keeps the car's engine worm in the cold weather.
The first team will receive 2,000 dollars and will travel to the United States for additional incubation. The owner of the second place will receive a monetary reward of 1000 dollars.
The participants of the training were selected based on preliminary applications. In total, 80 young entrepreneurs from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan participated in the event, who worked together with American experts for three years to develop entrepreneurial skills and improve their innovative and technological ideas.
