The Technopark is situated on the ground floor of Shota Rustaveli State University’s new campus. The collaboration with the university means that more students and academics can become involved. Batumi Technopark is for everyone - the local population, businesses and private companies and Adjara’s government, all of whom will have the opportunity to use sought after technologies to further develop their productivity and also gain more knowledge in the fields of innovation and technology, as well as in business in general.
Technopark Batumi comprises a physical space that is able to bring together technological, educational and professional resources, and acts as a platform to develop businesses, all based on innovation and technology. The Technopark brings together people of different ages and sectors and enables them to use the space to create new, innovative technological products that would be popular both locally and internationally.
Technopark Batumi acts as a universal laboratory for industrial innovation (Fablab). A space that is filled with the most up-to-date equipment together with highly qualified specialists for modelling and prototyping. The lab is equipped with a high-performance 3D printer, laser cutter, programmable machine, CNC machine, electronics card printing router and 3D scanner, amongst other cutting edge technology to bring together different ideas.
Furthermore, Technopark Batumi acts as a training center and as such, its staff are continuously trained on the latest technology, innovative thinking and how to assist with the development of startups. There is also a co-working space for people interested in this field, for startups and for freelancers. Here, you’ll have the possibility to develop your own ideas for a startup. This space is fully equipped with all of the components necessary to develop a startup.
Technopark Batumi’s mission is to assist people with new project ideas for the development of innovation and technology in Adjara for GITA grant competitions, to further promote the commercialization of both knowledge and innovation, and to encourage the use of innovative technology in Adjara’s leading economic sectors.)
